1/10 Violin: The Excellent Violin For Young Children
If your preschool child is interested in learning to play the violin, or if you simply want them to learn the basics of playing, then the 1/10 violin may be your best option. A full-sized instrument is too long for them to reach the lower notes at the end of the neck. A fractional sized instrument, however, allows a child to learn the fingering along the entire length of the neck, which helps encourage a child’s desire to learn. The various sizes can be confusing, however, leaving buyers dependent on salespeople, who may not always give the best advice.
